LIMITED SPACE! RSVP as soon as you can.
Ever wondered what's inside your gadgets? Join us for an exciting hands-on Take Apart Workshop! Bring a broken or unwanted electronic device or toy, and we'll disassemble it together to explore its inner workings.
This all-ages (5 and up) workshop is designed to give you hands-on experience identifying components, learning about their functions, and appreciating the engineering behind everyday products. From resistors to circuit boards, we'll discuss how these devices are designed and built—no reassembly required!
We'll provide a safe environment with tips on handling electronics, like removing batteries or ensuring devices are discharged. Leftover parts will be disposed of properly at the end of the event. Important notes:
Under 18? Please bring a parent or guardian.
No high-powered devices, cell phones or house appliances.
Bring a device! Anything from toys to old gadgets works perfectly. If you have multiple toys/devices, feel free to bring them for others to take apart.
For older, more experienced members, feel free to bring in larger builds to take apart and invite members to help take them apart with you.
Devices to bring: flashlights, rc cars/drones, toys such as Tickle-Me-Elmo or synthesizers...
Get curious! No prior experience is needed.
Let's get our hands dirty and have some fun learning about the tech we use (and take for granted) every day. See you there!
